Cascade Community Church is deliberate about being warm and welcoming to all people. We would love for you to come and visit us. We also know that sometimes people have a lot of questions about the church before visiting. We have tried to anticipate some of those questions and have provided the answers to them here. As always, if there is something else you would like to know just give us a call or send us an email.
WHAT IS CASCADE COMMUNITY CHURCH ALL ABOUT?
Check our our "About Us" page.
WHEN SHOULD I SHOW UP?
Our Sunday worship services is at 10:45 am. During the service there is something for everyone. Kids are taught at their level downstairs and teens have the opportunity to learn and fellowship with other teens. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the service start.
Also, we have a free fellowship breakfast on Sunday mornings at 10:15 am. This is a great chance to enjoy a light snack and a warm cup of coffee or hot coco while getting to know some of the great people of Cascade Community Church.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Come dressed however you feel most comfortable. We’re thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing. Dressed up or dressed down, we have a variety of styles at our services.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
From I-5 take the Central Dunsmuir exit. We are located on Dunsmuir Ave. right in the beautiful and historic area known as downtown Dunsmuir. If you get lost just ask a local for directions to "the old stone church".
You can also use our map feature and use GPS to find us. Just scroll down to the bottom of this page for a map.
WHERE SHOULD I PARK?
Free parking is available along Dunsmuir Ave as well as in the City Hall parking lot across the street and one block north. Additionally, Burger Barn has graciously given us permission to park in their lot just a few yards north of the church on Dunsmuit Ave on Sunday mornings.
WHAT WILL THE SERVICE BE LIKE?
We are committed to worshiping God through song, through giving, and through the Word.
As a congregation we sing songs full of powerful truths often accompanied by musicians. We value time honored hymns of the church as well as contemporary praise songs. Some weeks we have a full band. Other weeks we sing hymns accompanied by a piano.
We encourage our members and regular attendees to faithfully give to support the ministry of the church as an act of worship. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give but you are welcome to as the Lord leads.
We are committed to expository teaching. This means every week, you will hear a relevant, straightforward message from the Bible. We believe the Word of God is paramount in our growth as Christians. We pray that as we do our best to provide a strong Biblical foundation that you develop a growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ. You can listen to recent sermons online by following this link.
DO YOU HAVE COMMUNION?
We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month. Anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer as long as they’ve previously made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. The juice and bread we share represent the blood that Jesus shed and His body that was broken on the cross so our sins could be forgiven.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
Kids and teens are encouraged to be part of the regular worship service until we finish singing. Then they are dismissed for classes with our dedicated volunteers who teach them God's Word at their level of understanding. Currently we are not having Kid's Church or the Teen Class on Sunday mornings. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who provide nursery care for parents with kids ages 0-36 months.
